Common questions

How much does a plumber cost?

It depends on the job and how bad the problem is. That is why the first step is a phone call. Describe the problem and get your free estimate on the phone, with upfront pricing.

Will I talk to a real person?

Yes, you will.

Do I need to fill out a form?

No forms and no waiting on emailed quotes. One phone call is all it takes.

Can I get help at night or on a weekend?

We have plumbers ready to help families in the community 24/7, but moment-to-moment availability depends on demand. Call to find out how soon we can service your home.

Should I wait to call?

You already know that plumbing problems don't go away on their own. And waiting just increases the risks to your house. Plumbers see this hesitation all the time. Instead of regretting not calling earlier, just make that 2-minute call now and get your free estimate.

People also ask

Why would an attic pipe freeze when the house is warm?

Because attic insulation sits on the ceiling, which keeps house heat out of the attic entirely. On a clear cold night the space above that insulation can be colder than the outside air. Any supply line up there needs insulation laid over it, not just around it.

A ceiling stain appeared after a cold night. Is that a burst line?

Often yes, especially if it grows while the water is on. Shut the main and see whether the stain stops spreading. Water travels along framing before it drops, so the wet spot on the ceiling is rarely directly under the split.

Do I own the sewer line out to the street?

Yes, the lateral from the house to the main is the homeowner's, including the section under the yard. Knowing where the cleanout sits saves time later. On slab homes a backup with no accessible cleanout means the access has to be made before anything else happens.

Is a whole-house shutoff worth adding?

If the only valve you can reach is at the meter, it usually is. A labelled valve inside means anyone home can stop a burst without a meter key and a flashlight. Ask for it to be placed somewhere reachable rather than behind stored boxes.
