Seasonal timing

Only around 14 nights a year fall below freezing here, so exposed pipe rarely gets attention, and that is exactly why an unwrapped line under a porch is the one that splits.

Common questions

How much does a plumber cost?

It depends on the job and how bad the problem is. That is why the first step is a phone call. Describe the problem and get your free estimate on the phone, with upfront pricing.

Will I talk to a real person?

Yes, you will.

Do I need to fill out a form?

No forms and no waiting on emailed quotes. One phone call is all it takes.

Can I get help at night or on a weekend?

We have plumbers ready to help families in the community 24/7, but moment-to-moment availability depends on demand. Call to find out how soon we can service your home.

Should I wait to call?

You already know that plumbing problems don't go away on their own. And waiting just increases the risks to your house. Plumbers see this hesitation all the time. Instead of regretting not calling earlier, just make that 2-minute call now and get your free estimate.

People also ask

What causes the banging sound in my walls?

Water hammer. A valve closes faster than the moving water can stop, and the column of water hits the closed valve like a hammer. Appliances are the usual trigger because their solenoid valves shut instantly.

Can water hammer actually break something?

Yes, over time. The repeated shock loosens threaded joints, stresses solder connections and can shorten the life of the water heater and the fixture valves. A single bang is not an emergency, but a house that bangs every wash cycle is losing joint life.

Do I need a pressure regulator?

It depends on what pressure is coming in. If the incoming pressure sits above the normal range, a regulator protects the whole system, not just one noisy pipe. A plumber can gauge it in a couple of minutes at an outside spigot.

Who fixes the line if it leaks out by the road?

That depends where the leak is relative to the meter. Utility side is the water system's problem; house side is yours. Homes out toward Alapaha and Lenox often have long service runs, which puts more of that pipe in the homeowner's column.
