Seasonal timing

About 43 days a year climb over 90 degrees, and that is the stretch when root growth is quickest toward a damp seam, so a line cleared in spring often needs attention again before fall.

Common questions

How much does a plumber cost?

It depends on the job and how bad the problem is. That is why the first step is a phone call. Describe the problem and get your free estimate on the phone, with upfront pricing.

Will I talk to a real person?

Yes, you will.

Do I need to fill out a form?

No forms and no waiting on emailed quotes. One phone call is all it takes.

Can I get help at night or on a weekend?

We have plumbers ready to help families in the community 24/7, but moment-to-moment availability depends on demand. Call to find out how soon we can service your home.

Should I wait to call?

You already know that plumbing problems don't go away on their own. And waiting just increases the risks to your house. Plumbers see this hesitation all the time. Instead of regretting not calling earlier, just make that 2-minute call now and get your free estimate.

People also ask

Does a sloped lot change how the sewer line fails?

It changes where. A steep run moves waste fast but concentrates wear at the low joints and at any change of direction, while a flat run collects solids across the whole length. Both let roots in at the joints, and the camera shows which pattern you have.

Who do I call first when the whole house backs up?

A plumber with a camera and cabling equipment, unless you are on a public system and neighbors are backing up too, in which case the utility goes first. Stop running water either way. That single step keeps a backup from becoming a floor replacement.

Are chemical drain cleaners safe for an old sewer line?

They are hard on old pipe and on the person using them, and they rarely reach a root mass sitting fifty feet out. The blockage is usually beyond where the chemical stays active. Mechanical clearing is what actually removes roots.

Is the pipe from the house to a septic tank my responsibility?

Yes, all of it, along with the tank and everything past it. Roots enter that run exactly the way they enter a sewer lateral. Owners near Hamilton see the same symptoms inside the house whichever system they are on, so the diagnosis still starts at the cleanout.
