Common questions

How much does a plumber cost?

It depends on the job and how bad the problem is. That is why the first step is a phone call. Describe the problem and get your free estimate on the phone, with upfront pricing.

Will I talk to a real person?

Yes, you will.

Do I need to fill out a form?

No forms and no waiting on emailed quotes. One phone call is all it takes.

Can I get help at night or on a weekend?

We have plumbers ready to help families in the community 24/7, but moment-to-moment availability depends on demand. Call to find out how soon we can service your home.

Should I wait to call?

You already know that plumbing problems don't go away on their own. And waiting just increases the risks to your house. Plumbers see this hesitation all the time. Instead of regretting not calling earlier, just make that 2-minute call now and get your free estimate.

People also ask

Can old drain pipe be relined instead of dug up?

Sometimes. Lining works where the host pipe still holds its shape and the run is reachable from both ends. Where iron has collapsed or the slope is wrong, it has to come out. A plumber inspects first, because the answer depends on the pipe rather than on preference.

Water pressure rises and falls in the shower. Is the pump failing?

Not necessarily. A tank that has lost its air charge produces exactly that pulsing while the pump is otherwise fine. Pressure switch trouble looks similar. Both are cheaper to sort out than a pump, so have the tank checked before assuming the worst.

Should the well pump be on its own breaker?

It should, and you should know which one it is. If a switch sticks or a line breaks, cutting power is the fastest way to stop a pump running dry or flooding a pit. Label the breaker while things are calm rather than during a leak.

How often does a septic tank need pumping?

It depends on tank size and how many people live in the house, but it is a routine on the order of a few years rather than a one-time thing. Skipping it is what pushes solids into the field, and a ruined field costs far more to put right than a pumping does.
