Common questions

How much does a plumber cost?

It depends on the job and how bad the problem is. That is why the first step is a phone call. Describe the problem and get your free estimate on the phone, with upfront pricing.

Will I talk to a real person?

Yes, you will.

Do I need to fill out a form?

No forms and no waiting on emailed quotes. One phone call is all it takes.

Can I get help at night or on a weekend?

We have plumbers ready to help families in the community 24/7, but moment-to-moment availability depends on demand. Call to find out how soon we can service your home.

Should I wait to call?

You already know that plumbing problems don't go away on their own. And waiting just increases the risks to your house. Plumbers see this hesitation all the time. Instead of regretting not calling earlier, just make that 2-minute call now and get your free estimate.

People also ask

Do washing machines need their own venting?

The standpipe a washer drains into needs a trap and a vent like anything else. A washer dumps a lot of water fast, and an undersized or blocked vent turns that surge into an overflow at the standpipe. Homes where the laundry moved to a different room are the common case.

Grit keeps showing up in the aerators. Is that the well?

Usually yes. Sand and fine sediment travel up from the casing and settle wherever water slows down, which means aerators, valve seats and the bottom of the water heater. Filtration at the point of entry is the normal fix, and flushing the heater keeps the grit from cooking into a crust.

We connected to a sewer line. Does the old tank matter?

It matters. An abandoned tank left in the ground is a hazard if the lid gives way, and it complicates any digging in that part of the yard. Find out whether it was properly decommissioned, and keep a note of where it sits.

Are chemical additives good for a septic tank?

They are mostly unnecessary, and some do harm by breaking up solids so they carry into the field. A tank works on bacteria that arrive on their own. Regular pumping and sensible water use do far more than anything poured down a drain.
