Seasonal timing

Freezing nights average fewer than 9 a year, so root activity toward a leaking joint barely pauses, and a lateral cleared in one winter can be restricted again before the next.

Common questions

How much does a plumber cost?

It depends on the job and how bad the problem is. That is why the first step is a phone call. Describe the problem and get your free estimate on the phone, with upfront pricing.

Will I talk to a real person?

Yes, you will.

Do I need to fill out a form?

No forms and no waiting on emailed quotes. One phone call is all it takes.

Can I get help at night or on a weekend?

We have plumbers ready to help families in the community 24/7, but moment-to-moment availability depends on demand. Call to find out how soon we can service your home.

Should I wait to call?

You already know that plumbing problems don't go away on their own. And waiting just increases the risks to your house. Plumbers see this hesitation all the time. Instead of regretting not calling earlier, just make that 2-minute call now and get your free estimate.

People also ask

Does living near the water change how a sewer line behaves?

It changes the ground more than the pipe. Soft, saturated soil lets a lateral settle and joints separate, and a high water table pushes groundwater into any opening. Both show up plainly on a camera run during wet conditions.

Why does my drain slow down at high tide?

On low-lying ground the water table rises with the tide and a cracked lateral takes that water in, using up the capacity your house needs. Timing that tracks the tide is a strong clue. It points at infiltration rather than a blockage.

Can a sewer line be lined in soft ground?

Usually yes, and it is often preferred here because an open trench in saturated soil is slow work that may need dewatering. The requirement is a host pipe that still holds its shape. Where a section has collapsed, that part still gets dug.

Is a backup covered when the cause is groundwater?

It depends on the policy and on how the carrier classifies the cause, so contact your insurance provider before repairs start. Get the camera footage first. Owners over on Tybee Island have found the documentation mattered more than the argument.
